Colourful March garden
My parent's garden is beautiful and already full of wonderful colour. My Mum is a brilliant, knowledgeable gardener. Here is just a small sample of her flowers including, Fritillary, Pansies, Primrose and Hellebores.
Black sheep
We came across a field of sheep and their lambs on our walk. This cute little lamb stood out, as it was the only one with black head and legs.

Watermelon
Year 5 worked in pairs to create fruit cross-section collages. I love this large watermelon slice created in fabric, tissue paper, oil-pastels and paint.
My desk is tidy

Shop window
I have just decorated my first shop window!
Our local gift shop 'Sweet-pea' asked the school to decorate one of their windows. The pupils produced wonderful Easter and Mother's day gifts and cards. We did our best (with fabrics, ribbons, twigs and a staple gun) to make the window look as pretty as possible

Daffodils from the garden
Everything is budding up and growing like mad in the garden. A few daffodils fell over, so we picked them and brought them in.

Perfect housewife?
Actually I'm a long way from being a perfect housewife, but I was so happy to see my washing drying in the sun this morning!
A hike
Not a cloud in the sky today, so we put on trainers and went for a long walk up through the woods and around Aspley Heath. Lots of people out and about, and Peppa made new friends along the way.

Josie's dress
Josie has just designed and created this beautiful fabric (including stitching on all of the flower patterns), and has made it into a gorgeous dress. It is part of her final major project 'Bohemian Gypsy'.
Pink, purple and blue
Alice needed pink, purple and blue flowers for a GCSE art project. She arranged the ones she wanted into the mug, and I put what was left into a glass vase. I wouldn't normally choose these colours myself, but I think they look pretty.

Perfect pencils
My new tins of Art pencils have arrived. They are perfectly arranged, and have lovely names like Moss Green, Dark Carmine and Venetian red.

Sunny Saturday
It was a warm sunny morning and we had a nice walk in the local woods . The gorse bush flowers add a lovely splash of colour.

Colourful salad
We had the most delicious salad - roast butternut squash, with lentils and feta. I thought it looked pretty in this purple bowl.

Honesty
I picked up this dried branch of 'Honesty' on a walk this week and it has been sitting on the kitchen windowsill.
I love the decorative, translucent paper-like quality of the seed heads. I'm going to try planting some seeds in the garden later this month.

Pancake topping
In my opinion the only topping worth having on a pancake is the traditional lemon juice and caster sugar, but this is open to discussion.

Daffodils
Cheap and cheerful daffodils are in all the shops at this time of year. This lovely jug, with it's turquoise interior, belonged to my Granny.
Alice's room
Alice put this pretty bunting over her bed yesterday. We love the wallpaper she chose for her 'feature wall'.

Sunny spinney
Peppa and I enjoyed our lunchtime walk to the spinney today. The sun was shining, and I could hear a woodpecker tapping nearby.

Today's juice
We used our juicer to make the most delicious refreshing mix of orange and apple juice. We should use it more often.

Half term homework
I asked the Year 7 pupils to draw an arrangement of vegetables in their sketchbooks as half-term homework. I was so delighted when this wonderful piece of work was handed in today.
String-prints
Year 6 are string-printing and painting their designs with coloured inks. These will look lovely on display when finished.

Apples
Year 5 have been drawing apples today. They have been sketching and colour-blending. I am really impressed by the standard of this work, considering these pupils are only 9 or 10 years old.
