We all enjoyed the Royal wedding celebrations on our road yesterday. Lots of lovely decorative bunting, and a fun garden party.

Vintage sale
We popped next door to the pub garden for a look at the 'vintage rummage' sale. Lots of lovely finds, including this £5 dress for Elise and an interesting brooch for Sarah
Easter day
We had a lovely walk and a wonderful Easter day at Cherry Tree cottage. My Mum's raspberry cheesecake was superb.

Yellow field
This rapeseed field is such a bright yellow that we really need our sunglasses as we walk through it!
Sunny walks
We are having lovely energising morning walks this week. The sun keeps on shining, and it is so warm for April. The woods are now full of bluebells.

Herb garden
We were given this lovely old Butler sink last week, which we have just turned into a herb garden containing parsley, sage, chives and thyme. The essential rosemary and mint are growing in the border, as they need more space.
Bluebells
These pretty bluebells are in the garden. The woods around us are full of bluebells that are just starting to open.

Easter shopping in Suffolk
I was delighted to find this box of pretty decorated eggs in Kitty's Home store in Framlingham. The hot cross buns were from the highly recommended Pump Street bakery in Orford.
Suffolk
We are keeping busy during the Easter holidays and had a lovely visit to Suffolk this week. We enjoyed our day in Orford.

Art foundation exhibition
We were incredibly impressed by the high standard and interesting variety of artwork at Josie's major project exhibition. She has been working in and is now exhibiting in the South Bank Arts centre at Bedford college, which is a beautifully designed new building. I love the way Josie hung her dress, giving it such an ethereal quality.
Clematis flowers
I love these delicate pale purple flowers that have just opened in the garden. They look so pretty hanging over the arch.
Birthday tea
We were invited to Sipala to celebrate Andrew's birthday with tea. We sat in beautiful sunshine on the hottest day of the year so far.
Clay fruit
My Year 5s have loved modelling these clay fruit cross-sections. I am really impressed with the detail.

Honesty
My mum gave me this Honesty plant last week. I was delighted to see it has flowered already. So pretty!

Old sketchbook
Alice found this old sketchbook of mine in the back of one of her drawers. I was really pleased to see it again. It's really just a scrapbook of ideas to use as examples or inspiration for my pupils, not works of art by any means!
Muffins
I made these pear and ginger muffins with a recipe from the Nigella Express cookbook. This book is one of my absolute favourites, as her recipes are totally reliable and delicious.
Tracy Thorn
I have always loved the voice and songs of Tracey Thorn. I first encountered her when as I student I saw her perform in a tiny nightclub in Brighton, as part of the Marine Girls. With Everything But The Girl she became so successful, but then things went quiet. I was delighted recently to discover she had released a new CD. Her voice and songs still gorgeous!
Delicious warm salad
I made a warm pear, walnut and blue cheese salad, and it was so delicious. This really is my favourite type of food.
